English as a language can be confusing at times, check this out
The prefix -IN is always used to connote that something is not another thing right?
But that rule was broken with the 2 words
Flammable and INflammable which means the same actual thing, but why?
Why does English have to twist our minds, why can't flammable mean easily combustible and INflammable will mean not easily combustible...Nawa for those people that started this language o jere..
Hear this..Have u heard about Driveway and Parkway,do you know you can't park in parkways and you can't drive in Driveways unless u re d owner of that driveway, then why did they put Park and Drive in the word, really confusing..
I heard that you EAT Ice cream, not LICK
And you PUT ON perfume not USE..
Oshi ni gbogbo yen jare..
And to you people that like interpreting Yoruba words directly into english, beware ooo
Cos how will u interprete 'Ise-Owo"
English language needs understanding and learning...
And Ps--there z nothing called "upliftment",itz been scraped..
There even nothing called 'insultive',nor any adverb called 'stupidly'.
And pls..the noun 'fork' and the verb 'fuck' sounds alike, don't overdo ur phonetics..
Water is pronounced /'wɔ:tə/ not wɔra.. The T isn't silent
I know many of us made that mistake..Stay real
